What I do

Training & Workshop Delivery in both Trauma Informed Relationships & Mental Health

Trauma Informed Relationships.

Working with both sport for development and elite sport organisations to help them be trauma informed in their relationships and organisational culture. Enabling them to create safe spaces, build safer relationships, creating a culture of dosed stress, not no stress.

Various options available from a 90min intro to 12 hours over several sessions.

Mental Health Workshops.

I deliver workshops for children, young people and adults to help them understand and practically apply:  what good mental health is, what supports good mental health, what prevents poor mental health and how to manage their emotions, specifically in their sport or context.

Some of my recent work has been commissioned by Chelsea FC, Premier League Charitable Fund and World Rugby.

From under 8s in academies, to First Team squads, to Coaches and Leadership Teams.

Rugby World Cup Research.

I carried out research into the lived experience of mental health within a RWC with both the men's and women's game.

My research has helped shape the provision for RWC 2025.

I share my research internationally with universities as a guest lecturer, NGB’s, podcasts... really it’s anyone who will listen and will make change to better support mental health in sport.

If you’ve been involved in the RWC 2025, head to the player passport module for further tailor made information to support your mental health.

Training, resource writing and advocacy.

I utilise my innovative research combined with my experience, to help inform the mental health provision at NGB’s and Global Sport Organisations. My most recent work has been supporting the development of the RWC 2025 player passport module, competing teams workshops and peer support program.

I support athletes to thrive and reach their off the pitch, court, track, pool, arena goals… with balancing demands, relationships, education, retirement, wellbeing and charity opportunities. A confidential and non-pressurised, person-centered approach.

"I would highly recommend Heather to any Elite Sports Person facing the challenge of balancing multiple commitments, or looking to improve wellbeing through targeted and well informed support."
